Hi, Im new to the clio scene... looking at the moment to get either a 172 or a 182, still undecided... have upto £4000 if anyone has any recommendations, or even recommends what to look for when buying one?

Welcome to CS, the big things with these cars are the service history. The cambelt for example is a very specialised job and needs to be done with the proper tools and by the proper operatives. If you can find the right car with this work already done you'll be saving around £600 - £700
