After much deliberation I've decided to get myself a Clio and will be picking up my 197 in the morning.
For the last 3 years I have been running a Smart ForTwo (For the drive to work) and a Mazda RX-8 (for everything else). Unfortunately, as much as I love it, its got to the point where I can't justify paying over £400 a year to tax and less than 20 mpg.
It was never an option to just keep the Smart so I'm setteling on a hot hatch. I've test drove Corsa and Astra VXR's, Golf GTI's, Focus ST's and a Couple of Renault Sport Megan's. I'd read good things about the Clio but was amazed at how good it was, it's an absolute riot to drive. As much as its shocked me, its made the pain of getting rid of my RX-8 all the easier to take.
I guess the coming weeks will prove to me if I've made the right decision or not.
