OK, so having gone from someone who used to use the local jetwash, to asking the local car wash guy to change the water before doing mine, it seems I am gaining some OCD.

I need cleaning stuff.

Looks like I am going to need 2 buckets, a washmit, drying towels, polishing towels and all the other stuff to keep my 172 sparkling.

Now, i dont wanna spend a fortune on the car, just want to keep on top of it as best I can.

I used to use A.G super resin, and I luuuurve the smell of that, so can anyone else recommend things to me??

HI!

SRP, EGP and decent wash stuff;

Wash mitt
Drying towel (not chammy leather etc)
Two bucket method (one for rinsing mitt after every time it's touched the panel)
Decent shampoo like Megs Gold Class

All available in Halfrauds.

Does the second bucket need a grate thing in it to rub the wash mitt against, or is rinsing it good enough??

Also, drying towels, are there any specific ones to go for? Always used aquablades and shammys so far

the bucket and grit guards are ridiculous in price, talking £20 for 1 bucket and guard.

and them drying towels from i4detailing - very good

shampoo: http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/Duragloss_901_Car_Wash_Concentrate_1.html will last you ages

wash mitt: http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/Megs_Lambswool_Wash_Mitt_1.html

polish buff towel: something like this mate: http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/Dodo_Juice_Buffing_Cloth_1.html

polish applicators: http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/I4D_Yellow_Foam_Wax_Applicator_Pads_1.html#aI4DYFW2

that should get you started mate, it adds up though if you want to do it properly

if ordering from I4D, dont forget to use discount code: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=321183
