Help Clonking

Hi need some advise...

Got a clonking coming from my steering, dosnt do it on the move, only when your stationary, and turn the wheel, for parking. Ive had the top mount mod done. local dearler reckons its the rack and has quoted £615 ...

Any one else had this problem or any ideas what it might me..

sounds quite possibly like it could be the steering rack but if its only doing it when stationary i would personally bother replacing it.
