Help finding a Renault Specialist in the Lancashire Area please !!!

  Clio 182 cup FF
Hi all,

Does anyone know of a good, reliable Renault Specialist anywhere in the Lancashire area ? Or surrounding Lancashire ? This is for a cambelt/aux belt change.

As always, feedback hugely appreciated guys.

  Maybe a 172 Cup..
Birchdown nearest specialist to you my good man, if my geography is ok. If there nearest to you, no need to look any further..

The end.

I've just taken mine to Fred@BTM. Birchdown are supposed to be good but only open weekdays 9-5. Not much more of a ballache really as its just off the M6 so I guess no real diff in petrol.

There's none in Lancs and not even in Manc! Unbelievable I know but true!

Do you need de-phaser or is yours ok??

Yep definitely needed a dephaser! I never noticed it before really, just thought it was cos it's french! But after seeing the vids on here and then going and listening to my car I knew straight away the dephaser was on it's way out. Spark plugs were changed too @ cost of parts only which was good of him, the ones put in my the previous owner weren't the platinums and just cheapos! I should've guess it when I saw on his receipts he gave me with the car that the last service done had £9.60 spent on spark plugs! Its definitely improved my MPG and the car feels much 'tighter' in the way its accelerates. Apparently my rad's goosed though so that's next on the agenda. Holiday on Friday first! Time to get wrecked and not think about the Clio!

£465 cambelt and aux belt (kits) fitted

£200 new dephaser fitted (with oil change and filter)

£45 4 platinum spark plugs fitted

Couple of free stickers, a nice stamp in my service book and no squeakiness or bum twitching thinking about the belts snapping.

And Fred if you are reading this, tried to PM you to tell you how it felt on the way back but your inbox is full - emailed you instead - just incase you thought I was being ignorant!

Glad you got sorted Danith. Makes sense to get dephaser done anyway while everything is off.

Peace of mind FTW;)

won't be selling this one for a while now though after that blowout. you any closer to your ph1 ownership?
