Help: Headlamp Washer Jet Leaking

  182 Trophy
The headlamp washer jet (attached to the fr bumper) on my car is leaking quite a lot and needs inspecting. Can I take the washer jet off without removing the whole front bumper??

bit of a pain to do iirc.
Thats why renault charge for like hour and half worth of labour to fit replacement.
It is easiest to remove the bumper though yes

That's a bugger, but would prefer to do it myself than give renault near to
£100!
Was yours leaking too?

Common problem on Clios with headlamp washers, they start leaking way too easy.

If your cars still under warranty I'd get it back to Renault get a new set fitted, if it isn't, I'd just live with it.

It is possible without removing the bumper, but as said warranty should be your first point.

Warranty expired last month, but cashed in nicely the day before it ended with a new driveshaft, head unit and CD changer :) Headlamp washer is now leaking after a long drive over the weekend.
I can't really understand why it leaks, I'm guessing there is some sort of valve in there that only allows washer fluid out when pump is on. I presume this valve is broken...??

So, seeing as warranty is expired can I take that black bit off without removing bumper? If so how?

Other option is to just take off front wheel arch liner and block the tube to that particular washer...afterall headlamp washers aren't that useful, so I think I can live without it!

The washer ball leaks the fix is to glue them or replace the unit.

Just take the bumper of if its your first time its easier its not difficult to get it off.

Taken bumper off before but thought it was a bit of a mission to be honest.
Edde, any ideas how much a new unit is or what the part number is?

New unit ins't that much £8 or so rings a bell but I'm not sure havn't loooked for ages.

Once you've had the bumper off once its easy you know what to do now.

Washer jets are £7 odd each, the part numbers I have somewhere if you really need them?

Spoke to Renault this morning...£10.70!! Bloody rip off, but didn't exactly expect a bargain price from the stealers

edde care to elaborate a little on that ?
I assume the water feed goes to some kind of valve which weeps when faulty ? I havent took the bumper off (yet) so am unfamilair with the unit but how can it be glues to fix it ?
Am assuming the system is
water pipe feed - ==unit== - feed to bumper/nozzle

Here is the new one I just bought. Looks like a pretty sealed unit to me, not quite sure which bit could be glued, but I will investigate when I take the old on off.

Well fitted this new one now, was piss easy to fit. Wasn't at all necessary to take bumper off as it can be accessed just by taking the wheel off removing the inner wheel arch lining. Tbh I can't see how the old unit can have been fixed so glad I just replaced it in the end for the sake of £10.
