9 days away from MOT... and my passenger window stops working. It'll go down but won't go up! I've taken the card off and tried but nothing works. Cant even hear a relay clicking. I've been under the passenger footwell and had a fiddle with the relays (taking them out and putting them back in one by one, and now everytime I start the car the service and airbag lights come on. Any ideas how I can make this go away? Also any ideas about the window? Many thanks.

Help! How to turn of a service light?

MK3 GTI golf 16v
service and airbag light being on could be a number of things. it is also unlikely to be a failure, mines permanantly on due to my seats and it didnt even get a mention on the MOT. it could be the wiring for the seats has broken somewhere/sheared etc etc which would cause it to come on.
as for the window, tried greasing the runners and rubbers ? tried making sure no wires have moved restricting the glass movement ? is the motor getting alot of power or not ? could just be a nackered mechanism or something.
go to a garage with your door card off and ask them to have a quick look if your unsure
