Hello guys i have a weird problem on my pc..

basically i have always connected to the internet via my network and have no need to dial-up etc.. but recently my pc will stop the internet and say a dialup was unsuccesful (do i want to try again etc..) so i click cancel and it works again!

but it is a pain...

^^^ the connection itself within my network connections... even when i delete it from here it keeeps coming back!

help anyone?



i have sophos anti virus, ad-aware, windows defender and have checked those..

try spybot search and destroy too mate.

Do you connect via a router with your modem settings?

When did it start doing it? Try a system restore to an earlier date that might work and like adam said try spybot

And then do a scan and post up what it pritns off on here and i can have a look at it for you and advise you from there try running spybot and adaware though get the both as they both find different things.

Is that Red Dwarf Series 6 that you are downloading the english rip or the jap rip? Either way I don't think piracy is allowed on here

Not true, maybe in the USA under "fair use" but there is no such law in the UK.

Besides which, if he already has the disc.. why download it? Also using a torrent means you are uploading at the same time and i'm sure that isnt under any fair use clause

in internet explorer go to tools - internet options - then connections Tab.

Make sure never dial a connection is checked.

as i use firefox, didnt think it would make a difference but we will see.
