Help my Clio is numb!

I dont know what happened, I was at the drag strip last night and in one run it just lost its power. It seems to work normal until I hit 4k rpm then it just stops working like it should and just slowly revs little higher. It wasnt raining so it did not get water in the intake and Ive put the mystery valve back on. Maybe theres a fuse broken but I cant remove the big ones in the hood.

Don´t know what the dealer will say when he sees my viper...one sad camper here in Iceland:(

not good, if you are worried about the dealer getting funny about the viper why dont you take it to an independant garage to look at first then the dealer need never know

not very....lol......

and you got no fueling compansation?

It could of entered limp mode through a detection of excessive knock or a slight period of detonation.

period detonation ???? funnily enough ive wished a few of my exs would explode while they were "on" hehe

ill get me coat

Aha and how do I DE-limp it?

Yeah and btw Im running it on V-power99+ (think its the same as optimax) so the fuel should not be a proplem

aye, but there is only so much you can prevent using ignition only...........if its running lean, its running lean, retarding to much may stop det but youll burn out an exhaust valve with the increased EGT.

:oops:He he, the cause has been found. It seems that the hose I used at the end of the viper wasnt good enough, it collapsed at full trottle so the engine couldnt get enough air.

Now that Ive removed it the clio works like a charm. Its easy to be wise afterwards:p
