Help needed asap please .

Right i have bought a Renault Clio 182 Liquid yellow of a total muppet .

I got a big problem with the car dont now were to start first .

The thing is i put fuel in and go down the road and next thing i now all the petrol has gone its doin about 50miles to £20 worth of petrol

Its overfueling like mad the bloke i bought it off said it has had a remap .

It also juders like mad in 1st and 2nd at low revs

And pops and bangs like mad sound like its got no exhaust on it above 5000rpm

It also smells of petrol when idling

Just wounderin what i can do cheers

That could be a number of things...

Who remapped the car?

Not sure to be honest neither does the boy who had it

He didnt now much about the car either thanks

Hope it was cheap!! Get it in to a specialist to hook up diagnostics as that should let you know if it is the remap or something else causing the overfueling....

Something is seriously up there as that's about 8mpg!!

No idea on the clutch/gearbox judder unfortunately.

I now 8 mpg is rather steap for my liking .

And i dont now any local specialist not wanting to travel far when it cost that much to run lol

Not sure myself on the judder i thought it could b the remap to be honest thanks

Not near any specialists I can think of TBH. Plenty of members in that area though. If you're lucky one may offer some assistance.

8 ? More like 16mpg but still not good. Might be misfiring due to any number of things. Get it plugged in somewhere.

Take it to Fred @ BTM - only 100 miles up the M5 ! I wouldn't take my car anywhere else in the circumstances (given the cost to travel haha )
