help needed for starting car!!

a few weeks ago my car had died so got a new battery then was fine for a few weeks, and now it needs jumping every morning, will this be the new battery or will i need a new alternator?

get the car jump started and running then using a multimeter accross the battery see if ur alternator is charging should be reading around 14volts
