Help needed!!

I've started to get a knocking sound from the exhaust on my 182 when going over bumps in road.

Ive checked my exhaust mounts and they do look quite perished is this a common problem or could it be something different causing the knocking?

you havnt said if it is the standard exhaust from new? is your car lowered?

Will be the mounts, having collapsed i imagine your exhaust is now banging on the heat shield?

Nope it hasnt got standard exhaust had full system put on about 2 years ago and hasnt been lowered

have you checked the heatshield over the rear silencers? It has a tendancy to come loose and can be resolved with a large washer

Cheers plasticmorph is heat shield and just needs bigger washers to secure it in place again
