Help re. locks on my Clio Mk1

Ive managed to carefully dismantle the insides of my doors, but am having problems with one final thing - the locks.

They seem to be held in place by a slip of thin metal that slides in between the barrel and the back of the door panel to keep them still. I dont want to hack at them as I want my locks to sit flush again once Im finished!

Any help appreciated!

Cheers. Tried sliding it to one side, but it seems stuck! Might spray it with WD40 and leave it overnight. I dont want to bend it as the lock will sit oddly on the door then!

you wont need to leave it overnight mate, WD40 gets to work a lot quicker than people think i bet it moves in an hour
