umm another prolem happend tonight with my 172 ,i pulled into a car park and the revs were sat on 4 k and not foot on peddel , turned off the on and still saton 3to 4k and turned off and then on a bit later still the same but then the service light and the traction light cam on , any one got any ideas ???

Fly by wire electronic throttle isn't it? :S

Someone on here will be able to point you in the right direction.

but the thing is it not doing it now , will it do it again then , could the ecu be nakered with the other fault i getting or could it be all this fault

geting to the point of takeing it back and saying i want evey thing canceled and you can keep the car and i takeing you to a small clain court
, but bet it wont do any good

what would make that bit play or or be faulty , its only just be serviced , this car dont make any sence

ECU wont be knacked, might be worth checking the wiring to the throttle body, other than that not much you can do.
Joys of fly by wire throttle, why didnt they just stick with cable!!

thats what im thinking mate , could prove to be a pain in the arse , tipical i do a car change and it hi tec and i can do any thing to work on it to fix any thing jsut my luck should have stayed for the zetec-s lol did not have many problems with that

Mine done this turned out to be a dirty t/b , it just needed a clean .
