Help ! Which Inlet ??

Hiyer guys,

Proberbly a long shot but does anyone know if this lower inlet is off a Ph1 172 / Ph2 172 or a 182 ??

Wasnt sure if there was any noticable difference between them other than the bolt spacing.

172 ph1, ph2 and 182 should all be the same even the bolt spacing iirc.
The upper inlet part is where it differs between 172 and 182.
You might find a small difference in tolerance on the middle picture on the upper most right bole as your picture is taken.

There is a difference in quality of the runners. "RS" stamped inlet supposed to be a better match to the ports on the F4R head.

Might not be right but the PH1 has RS stamped on it?

That looks as though its from a ph1 172

Guy i bought it from has confirmed it was off a Ph2 172. I was worried it wouldnt fit my "182" but after double checking other posts the lower inlet is exactly the same on all models so should fit fine

Now to send it off to KTEC for matching.

You should get both inlets matched, proper way of doing it however it is the bottom inlet which gives the gains not the top inlet, but its good practice to match both, ktec inlets are rather expensive imo, you can get both upper and lower inlet done elsewhere for less money

I tried looking for a JMS website but just says under construction :S

Any Idea how much it would cost for both J ?? sure its like £170 for the lower from KTEC

Would have been perfect dave but it looks like you have to get it done in store

Work commitments wouldnt really allow driving all the way down there and there doesnt seem to be anywhere more local to the north east.

Inlets now ordered from JMS Brilliant customer service, now just cant wait for them to arrive
