Help with brake pads :)

All new to forum so first post, i purchased a 172 cup late last year the previous owner was kind enough to have some new spare Ferodo DS2500 pads he gave me with the sale, the car passed its MOT fine in jan just advisory on low wear on front 2 pads so assumed time to stick on the Ferodo's, managed to get a chap at a garage to book it all in, he said to my confusion they were 'Back Brake pads' i couldnt find much info on the net but just took his word for it??, looking now for a recommendation for a decent set of pads for the front and get the back ones fitted with a total cost of around £100 and any reccomendations or views on the Ferodo's you guys may have had

DS2500 in the rear ate a total waste of time, the rear brakes do naff all.
In most cases the rear discs will go rusty and need replacing before a set of pads.

There's a trader on here who used to be @G 172 (forgotten he's new traders name) send him a pm and he will sort you out.
However I'm sure the DS2500 are more than £100 to buy.

What's the car being used for, just fast road?

hi i just found some mintex front pads for £20 and a guy has offered to fit front and back for £40 wit the DS2500 aswelll, only use it for road but fairly low mpg if you get me

the discs were checked on the MOT in jan and i asked he specifically (my local workshop) bud and the wear was very good on them no need for any immediate replacement in next year at least

Don't bother with DS2500s on the rear, sell them on eBay for half the price of new and buy a set of Pagids for ~£15 from Euro Car Parts.
