help with celica

  BG182FF
hello peeps, my friend has a toyota celica 53 plate in black. Thing is, it hasnt been moved for nearly 3 years and not been washed or anything. Just been sat there to rot. Paint work is real bad as you would expect after 3 years of collecting grime. also living near the sea makes air worse and build limescale. Is there any way of bringing back the paint back to its former glory? think its going to need some deep cutting compound but no clue what to use. any help is appreciated. thanks

it needs a jet wash first, then apply some apc/tar remover mix, leave it to do its work for a bit, jet wash again.
wash 2 bucket method (you may need to change the water a few times), rince, clay, rinse, dry and see which areas need any more decontamination and repeat previous steps if need be.
wheels/arches will prob need some wonder wheels and a stiff brush along with a good jet wash...
next steps depend on if you are using a da or rotary or good old elbow grease tbh but either way it will prob need a few rounds of cutting/cleanser befor you polish and wax it
some pics after you have done the above would be good too ;-)

im no pro and im guessing the guy that owns it is not going to be expecting a complete blemish free full detail like it just rolled out of a paint booth or be inspecting it with lamps so just buy a citrus apc from tesco for about a £1 mix that maybe 3 to 1 with water and mix some autosmart tardis in with it, you can use it in all the door/bonnet and boot shuts too!!
ag paint renovator/megs scratchx is decent stuff but i wouldnt go mad with on the first hit as its pretty aggressive. then just a super resin polish and extra gloss protection combo will get it shinning/beading...

I actually quite like the sound of this, as I would love to turn it around!

You will need a lot of degreaser and something like G101 2:1!!

Pics for a clearer idea of the damage?
