Help with door locks please?fast please

right, ive got an 04 dynamique, with only 1 key hole on the passenger side door, my mate has also got a dynamique and his key will open my car door so he can get into the car.

over the past few days hes been going in when im not around and adjusting my mirrors and stuff, nothing serious and was pretty funny to start with, but today when i left work there was notes all inside my car, moved mirrors, seats, steering wheel, fucked up the radio stations, and in one of the seat pockets was a load of work info, which he scattered around the car.

i need to know how to dis able the door lock so it cannot open the door, but it needs to be easily reversible for when i sell the car, help me please.

he wont stop doing it either as to him its funny.

So will your key open his door ? If it does get your own back and fcuk around with his , see how long before he gets pissed off

Personally I'd be speaking to Renault immediately. I can't imagine two keys sets of keys are supposed to work on the same car. There's a potential customer outroar if that was widespread knowledge. I'd be feeling Renault out for getting it sorted gratis tbh!

renault want f**k all to do with it, contacted them when i first found out about it.

my mate doesnt drive to work so cant do it to his car, plus im not a complete t**t like him,

is there any way i can disconnect it?
i was thinking glueing the cap closed on it, but is this reversible, im guessing not!

your always going to have that problem that if you do something like that what if the remote central locking dies etc, otherwise i would say replace the door lock, but then you would be stuck if you do need to use it.
I cant beleive renault wont do anything, there is a potential for a HUGE security risk here.
Surely trading standards or someone along those lines could get involved?

well it was my local dealer who didnt want to know, said all car manufacturers have this.

Why doesn't your alarm go off? I thought if you use the key manually it wouldn't disable the alarm.

But it does seem like the kind of thing Watchdog would have a field-day on.

when i saw my car i had my phone out to do it, cos both my front seats were pushed forward which wasnt how i'd left it, but i didt see any broken windows any my stereo was still there.

Get some drawing pins and blu tac them under the door handle, then when he goes to lift the handle....................

I would phone the police and tell them somebody keeps breaking in to your car and you think you know who it is, get them to pay him a visit.

go round to his and try your key in his car, if it works take off his steering wheels and keep it

if you can get in...put hole punchings down the air vents. tis a quality move. check to make sure he hasnt stroked your spare key!
