MK2 PH2 & E46 330
Recently bought a hybrid mk1 as a project.
Had the car on axle stands for about a week. Got it back on its wheels and wanted to take it on a drive, but when I turned the key nothing happened. I removed the keys and the toad alarm started clicking the same sound as it does when you unlock the car, but really fast!
Ended up having to leave the keys and the ignition turned on and the battery went.
Got the jump leads out and tried again. The clicking stopped, but the car wouldnt start. I think it might have immobilized itself?
Can anyone help me diagnose what might be wrong?

The key fob has one green and one black button.
