Help with TOMTOM

Hey people.. does anyone know how to acess the SD card on the tomtom navigator.
I downloaded an american map, put it onto sd and into the tomtom but i can only get the standard euro map. Its obviously not lookin at the sd.

Anyone know how to do this??

Manage maps?

Or

The newer tomtoms need the OS loading onto the SD to access the maps on the SD
