i have wireless internet on the main computer and its installed on my labtop using some sort of card thats in the side. im within 1metre of my wireless adapter and its saying on my labtop that it cant find any networks or anything in range?? why??
found it. now its saying that it has been given a network address or something, says this problem iccured beuase the network did not assign a network address to the computer.
any ideas.
That's not the option for acquiring an IP address from a router using DHCP. That's for when he's connected, to the router and it's not letting him on yet.
Only thing I change if it can't be assigned otherwise it the channel that the wireless if using to something else as other things can interfere with the signals. You need to change this on the router if your going to do it.
I think if you use this like: http://192.168.1.1/ you should be able to access it and from what I can see the username is 'admin' and password is '1234'
