Help...wtf is it and can i launch it out the window?

Randomly had my first passenger today who actually used the sunvisor. Never moved it since buying the car .. and we found this.

Any ideas.. I am assuming its aftermarket. any harm in cutting it out?

car used to have an aftermarket radio but is back to standard, i am assuming radio ariel. or is it somthing else?

Cheers just wnated to treble check its not some stupid aftermarket alarm/immobiliser or other. I am alawys happy to work on cars...just hate having to pull dashboards apart.

Can't see it being anything like that fitted there or looking like that.

I doubt its fitted that well anyway, probably just poked down the A pillar and then along the bottom of the dash somehow.
