Hi - my names Tony just bought a 1.2 Mk2 Ph1 (i think :S perhaps someone can confirm lol) for my other half to learn in but as I have a modded Astra van and have been in around the scene for more years than I care to remember I can't leave it like it is for long

I wouldn't get too excited about modding a 1.2, although there is a lad on here who's been doing a storming job colour-coding and relief-colour-coding their shopping-edition clio. White steels are a winner.

To determine the "phase" of your motor, does it have lights like this......

If so, it's a Phase 1

The best performance upgrade for the 1.2's (when the time comes) is to take it to a garage and exchange the car and some cash for a different vehicle altogether
