Hi ! Newbie from France !

Car  BMW 325ci
Hi,

I do not own a Clio yet, but I currently own a 325ci e46 with maddening reliability issues. Therefore, I am considering getting rid of it and buying some hot hatch instead. I live next to an Alpine specialist, and I always had a thing for the 197 (especially F1 Teams) so I started checking out classifieds.

I still need to fix the bimmer and then decide whether I sell it or not, but meanwhile, I would be quite interrested in finding out more about 197s : how much to pay for a decent one, what to look out for...

Howdy, welcome aboard. Not sure we can help you with prices unless you are planning on buying a car in the UK and taking it home? That seems to be a thing with certain models that are cheaper over here.

Indeed, I plan on buying in the UK, prices are SO MUCH cheaper there. I live 100 km away from Dunkirk, many friends of mine drive rhd cars here (mainly Japanese though)

I just dropped the e46 (to replace the thermostat) at my mechanic's and took a quick pic...
