are the bulbs changable in your kit craig ? ? i have read some kits allow you to do this ? if they are on your kit then all i would have to do is change the bulbs ?

Dangerous, don't you watch the news!
what do you mean by that??? :rasp: :star: :quiet: :nono:

there is an article posted by someone on here that was on the news;

it basically documents several makes of after market HID kit and shows them all to be illegal

meaning failed MOTs, points on license if the 50 are clever enough, and hefty fines (well hefty for students ;) )

i know HIDS4U do a kit but it is £200 where as these are cheaper does that mean they will be s**t ?

Looked at the first of those two. Things in the advert give me reasons to not trust them, for example the standards they say they comply with. Basically they are bulls**t standards. Any good product would be able to quote real standards they comply with. Looked at the second one. Basically it gives me no reason to trust its selling a decent product.

Check out HIDS4U.

TBH there is no compromise to get either cheap things or buy them from a dealer just think there is at least 9k of power coming from them do you really want sommit like that to go wrong under the bonnet??

also on mine there is two doxes, one is the Ignitor other is the ballast

mite get back in touch with hids4u then , i just thought people on here had got some from ebay ?

we sell the HId kits for £99.99 delivered, come with 12 months warranty, i am now a new trader on the site. I specialise in these, have sold kits for over 2 years now with very good reviews on other owners clubs

Been scanning through this post what bulb rating of the standard 172ff xenon bulbs ?

And whens the highest output you could buy for the 172 before any problems occur ?

E.g. Is it possible for Aftermarket Hid Kits with too powerful bulbs Melting headlight lense. :S

And how easy are the to fit ?

Do you just use the light existing connections in car ?

As space is a bit tight under the bonnet to be cutting/joining and splicing wires to get the lights up and going :dapprove:

Sorry to Hijack you Post Justin, i was just curious..

sorry, didnt receive an email notification on this saying you`d replied, we list clio`s with 1 bulb in the headlamp and 2 bulbs, which one is yours.

Normal headlamp bulbs run at 55/60w, HID bulbs run at 35W hence there is no chance that it will damage your headlamp lens, plastic or glass

have two bulbs.

The bulb which needs to be changed from halogen to HID is a 9005 Bulb type.

And how easy are the to fit ? very easy to fit on most cars, havent seens a clio but normally 25/30 mins

Do you just use the light existing connections in car ? yes you do

As space is a bit tight under the bonnet to be cutting/joining and splicing wires to get the lights up and going , should do but would need to see are behind headlamps

will your kits work with a 2004 saab convertable ?

herd some things about the ecu throwing up errors ?

If your saab has a warning light that comes on when the bulb is out it is possible you will get a warning, because the bulb is 35W the car thinks the bulb has blown, some cars this happens on and some it doesnt, it is difficult to say yes or no as i`ve never come across that one. You just have to try, it depends how sensitive your warning system is
