I'm looking to change the 182 and cars I'm looking at only have Dual Optics headlights and I love my Xenons so would be looking to get an HID kit straight away.

What kits do you recommend and where from?

What is the common K rating?
6000k??

Just buy the kits from eBay, 20-30 quid a pop.

I wouldn't personally go above 6k, because as you can see it just looks chavvy. 5-5.5k is about right IMO.

See my thread about fitting HIDs as well though. http://www.cliosport.net/forum/show...lf-Levelling-Projectors-and-the-law-Explained

Cheers for the pic... Think I might go with 30000k as I think it looks sick ;)

So any kit really?

Wasn't sure if it was best to spend a bit of money on these kits.

The kits usually last at least 6 months, when one side goes just get a new kit. No real point in forking out extra money because they last the same amount of time whether you pay £20 or £50.

Don't be fooled by the whole 35w/55w thing, because there's sod all difference.

Happy Days.... It's been just over 24 hours of ownership and already I'm buying bits for it

Just remember they will fail a mot unless you remove them first

Mine did not fail my mot, and that was three weeks ago. I have the 6k kit and it's deffinately the best.

My mate has 8k and it's horrible, all I get is a white/purple glare in my rear view mirror lol

Although it did fail on the offside suspension top mount. Oops....

So my kit has arrived but I'm clueless at how to go about fitting them.... I know they are not for a Clio but anyone able to help as guessing its similar for each car?

This is what I have for each side.

  clio sold :(
Been ages since I had any fitted. Its almost how it is. But the two spade ends go inside the plug. That would normally push onto the tabs for the bulb.. that make sense! ?

I had this kit before of 6K light, really bright white. I did it for a astra SXI but i need a cover for it cos it would be blinding another drivers! So If buy this kit, would I need a blinder or something?

I personally wouldn't fit them unless the car has projector/dual optic headlights fitted.

What Mk/Ph do you own?

I got a clio 2002 now, so would be okay for HID, just replace the bulb? H7 isn't it? What number is the small bulb one?
