hid lights ( xenons ) fitted to hybrid...again

  Audi TT 225 Quattro
a few may remember i did this conversion on my old hybrid last year but that was on angel eyes and they got smashed to f**k when i crashed it. the packs were still ok so i decided to get some h4 lights and do it on standard lights, ordered 8000k but was out of stock so got 9000k hid bulbs which on the box say they are a violet colour, anyway it loads better than the normal candle lights:D , a few pics...

cost for the kit is £160 inc vat and del ( just ordered a set for a friend yesterday) got it from www.hid-lights.com went for the x5 kit, got 9000k lights on now but ive got photos with 8000k bulbs from before if you wanna see what they look like. i word of warning, ive heard that the x5 packs are prone to going up in flames, ive never had a problem with them and nor has a fella called guyS on here who also had them but i thought id let you know.

them x5 kit's tart up mint.. better than the 182 ones.. you can actually se them flicker on, go off then coem back on changing colour

what you think to the 9000k jay??

apparantly because theyre more blue than the 8000k theyre not actually as bright, as its the white light thats useful.

look mint though.

you experienced how s**t the full beam is yet though?? id get a relay in there to keep the HID's on and the full beam halogens when you flick full beam on..

I have had people get out of their car and come up to me about the brightness of the standard RS182 lights. Have to say they do illuminate to a very high level. You can see everyhting inside the cars in front!! Had another 182 behind me the other day, and the light were f***ing bright. Now I know what everyone is complaining about! No big deal though, at least I can see where I'm going... and its legit!

to me they seem a little brighter than the 8000k bulbs i had in the angel eyes, maybe because they had projector lamps in?? as you know full beam is now w**k compaired to the hids, but i never hardly use full beam so its not a problem, probably just use fullbeam to flash people now.

Is it difficult to fit these light kits? Are there different versions for other models, or is it one design suits all and you have to make custom fit them?

  Audi TT 225 Quattro
you just have to order the lights that fit your car, then plug them in, easy stuff, done it twice now and on the angel eyes i had to file the light housing a little to make them fit, nothing major tho... if you are doing this on a mk2 u may wanna speak to someone called Has on here, think he's done it before...

yeah projectors seem to really hold back the true potential..

my 8000k behind normal old frosted lenses where alot brighter than my 182 standard one sbehind projectors..
