hiding .exe files in vista??!

I'm trying to install a programme on my mates comp (32bit vista with Norton Antivirus something or other) and every time i put my jump drive into his comp (with an ".exe" file on it) i see the .exe momentarily on the jump drive, before it gets hidden!

This happened on my personal comp when i first got it, but i've forgotten how i stopped it from re-occuring.

Can anyone remember how to stop this happening?.... tried turning Norton off and this did zilch!

isn't it in folder options? go to view etc etc

the .exe file isn't actually "hidden" in the folder options - some programme/vista is hiding it...
