Hids

  Williams 2, Shuttle
Probably going to get quite a few moaning and lecturing me about this, but am thinking of buying some hids for my dynamique, how easy are they to fit and are they any good?

If you mean adapting your standard lights to HID with an aftermarket kit - then I'll start the moaning, sorry.

I'm getting fed up of being dazzled by those kind of kits, could be that they're not fitted properly, but ultimately the headlight units themselves were never designed to be used in that manner. I can't imagine that they give a light that is anywhere near as good as the other option...........

..........which is the one I'd prefer in your position - get some RS ff (although they were available on other specifications as well weren't they?) headlight units including all the other gubbins (bulbs obviously, igniter, ballast?) and fit those. But not as cheap as the first option.

I've got HiD's on my dynamique and they don't dazzle anyone but it maybe because I'm using a H7R kit!!!

Do not do this.

They look s**t on halogen units.

Do it properly and get some xenons or don't do it at all.

Go for it mate. Your car at the end of the day. I personally would go down the FF route but if you cant afford it theres some HID kits on the bay cheap enough.

If I was a policeman I'd go out of my way to make an example of kids running HIDs in reflector headlamps. There's this Mondeo round my way that has the brightest lights I've ever seen. Looks s**t too.

Always makes me laugh when threads get mysteriously dragged out again. Especially funny as it looks like the OP now has a Williams 2.
