Hillclimb at Gurston Hill today

  Fiat Coupe 20vt
Went to this today, couple of different competitions being contended including the Pirelli Ferrari Hillclimb championship, nothing spectacular, more just an excuse to practice some photography really.

New lens has certainly treated you well, some awesome shots there.

The 787 Escort and the Hillman shot (both sharp as hell) are great in particular, but the rear of the Escort (great catch on 3 wheels with a slow shutter speed) is just brilliant, love it.

Thanking you Sir :)

New lens does seem to be offering some good potential for me as i look to improve, i also found the weight of it is helpful with panning. Tried to keep all shots 1/160 or below today, so quite a few shots thrown away but got some good practice in.

Saw a lot of these being trailered to Gurston this weekend.

Sadly I was heading away from home so couldn't go :(

Yep the heavier lens does seem to help stabilize the panning quite a bit, especially when it's a bit breezy, I used to get an aching arm after 6hrs of holding my 80-200, used to it now though!

Are you not missing a picture of a certain car:eek: :race:

Sorry chap, i did take a couple of pics of your motor, unfortunately they went in my bin pile as they weren't up to scratch! I wish i'd known, i would've taken some definite keeper shots of it for you :)

Never mind, it was only a one off appearance for the Clio as plan A & B wasn't possible but plan C was, so I was only having some fun on Sunday but it would have been interesting to see from the outside how the the car's suspension/tyres behaved?

Well next time in August it should be the 21t (First time out with it this year) then it may be the Jedi in September????
