Just because they've been crashed doesn't automaticaly reflect on the handling.

He sad a mk2 and a ford KA did the same thing wasn't just his car slipping about. I had to accidents in mine both had sod all to do with the 'handling'

its them 1.2turbo kitted up
they are just to rapid
my car was your cars twin

Wouldn't say its rappid, tis better than my old 1.2 but it is shite at pulling out lol.

I got stiffer springs and spacers on mine, its better but it'll never be perfect. Looking forward to when some one releases some uprated ARB's.

What you do to yours?

i crashed mine in the ice. i had mine lowered and 25mm spacers each side and the car wod slide round roundabouts if you got on the turbo. maybe a nice set of grippy tyres would of done thje job but wasnt for getting rid of a set of tyres with nearly full tread on them. although i was trying to butn them out so i could get new 1s

well any tips on the car then

I just find mine understeers if you try push it on a round about.

Mine did really well (considering) chucking it around a wet race circuit.

insurance company pays me what they think its worth and the gap insurance should in theory pay the rest of the car off + the money ive been given for the car. just means i should walk away with owing 0 finance with no car basically thats if its written off though

i took it out but my insurance is just getting me the same brand new car so as far as i can see gap insurance is useless

does the insurance not only get you a brand new car within the first year and gap insurance is valid for 3 years?

front left and rear left wheel hit the curb and are scraped to buggery
left sill is mashed hence the door wont close

Nightmare mate, if the worst comes and its written off, i'd say you could definately get a better quote on the dci rs megane from the likes of greenlight

ok folks. The car was lifted yesterday

the bill for the insurance company came through today. £3982

as the quoted for the work does that mean that its going to be repaired or is it just a quote? the guy said it had been sent to quinn direct my insurance company. i think the cars only worth about 6k at the most now as i belive you can get one for £8.5k new!

cheers guys.

Tbh mate if we're talking 4k worth it's pretty badly f*cked. The one at work I've mentioned with the same damage as yours - it's bent the main bodyshell of the car where the door meets the wing, which would mean strippin it down and jiggin it back into shape - a big job.
I wouldn't be surprised if your car is the same.

well folks i emailed the insurance guy and he emailed back even though it was 8pm when i emailed him! he said as i insured my car for 12k and the damage is only 4k it will be fixed and _not_ replaced or money paid off! at the minute im quited excited ill be getting my car back as ive been driving my brothers Corsa 1.2 SXI. I am however worried about the car being very slippy.. I noticed that the back was slippy before i crashed (for about a 6months!) im wondering if it will be the same if so i may get rid of it as i'll be forever worrying about it.

cheers for all the advice and kind words folks

Adam.
