Try doing some online quotes from www.elephant.co.uk normally give you an idea of what it will cost.

That was my first car when i learnt to drive..(1.2 8v) Shes now with someone else, and i keep seeing it with L plates on, teaching someone else now. Ive come along way since. My Insurance was £700 TTFT (Make sure you do your pass + it really helps)

when a female starts a thread they always seem to go on for pages, wonder why?.........never mind eh welcome gemma! im 17 just passed my test and drive a 1.2 mk1, in my name insurance is around £1200 TPFT so as youre female i should imagine itll be a couple of hundred cheaper. good luck with it and let us know how you get on with it all. jack.

Im nearly 17 too, and i got quoted 2k on a 1.8 escort!!!! Getting an MG ZR soon (yes, yes i HAVE been tempted by a nice shiny black 16valver) and elephant want 1.4k for it.. if you add your mum on it it will knock it down if she has no claims.. my mum has like 20years+ or something and it knocked me down a few hundred!!! xSimilar threads
