take it out and plug it in as a slave to another computer, or if you don't mind spending some money, you could try something like the following link, which will bring your HDD up as a removable drive on another PCHow can i salvage my music? My mums talking about taking it to a guy to sort out. I have said i best keep it..lol
When trying to boot from the windows cd it gives me the option to repair or install. I opted to repair but it asks something c:/windows and doesnt really go anywhere from there..
You need to select install, it should then find a windows installation and then ask to repair it, little confusing. Select that repair option.
If it doesn't offer to repair after you select restore then do not go any further, further more do not format the drive or its game over.
