The demo is out today and it's instantly recognisable as a Homeworld title.
I don't know if the full game will be as good, but the slow, haunting music combined with the 'beam in' noise of the mothership coming out of hyperspace, to the command voices being heavily overlayered with static - are all Homeworld staples.
I'm just about to start the advanced tutorial, but the majority of it already feels familiar. Homeworld has always been about detecting the other side first and being sensible with your resources - almost like a complicated game of Battleships. For that reason, I can see why it might put some people off - but as with the previous games, they are classic in their own right. Granted, Homeworld : Cataclysm was a bit crap, mind.
