Westfield, 182, 200
Had the 182 MOT'd last week and the guy remarked that my top mounts would need replacing soon. He showed me some up and down movement at the top of the strut while the wheels were off the ground.
So, bought some new top mounts, removed the strut and the old mounts looked new, even when compared to the new parts. Bearing (bad description IMO) felt fine.
Thought about it last night and with the wheels off the ground, the strut will move up and down as the rubbers sandwiching the bodywork bottom out, and this will be made worse with spacers in it??
Am I right or wrong?
