Horn not working/intermittent

Hello all,
i have a 2003 renault clio authentique, the other day my horn was very intermittent, then I held it down and it worked and slowly died out as I was still holding it, now it doesn't work at all, what could be the problem? (Not fuse)

Welcome mate, have a look at the horn connection itself. Could be a poor/loose connection, a quick clean should sort it

Okay mate thank you, I'll check that now. It's probably a stupid question but how do I get to the horn? I know it is under the left side front bumper that's it.

They do tend to get a lot of crap in them, I belted mine with a hammer. Works fine now.

Passenger side front wheel off, arch liner out, remove horn, bash it about a bit, wire brush all connections, refit.

And try it before you put all the liner etc back in! Lol

Does anyone know if BOTH the horns need to be working for them to work on the car? I took both out today and connected directly to the batter - one works, one doesn't. Beeping off the steering wheel doesn't work though. Fuse is OK, I've taken off the steering wheel and cables seem fine too (unless the culprit is the cable not in the wheel, but the one hidden in the rotating piece).

Only one of mine works as i snapped the wire that goes to the other so no.
