How can i spray these

The inserts in the front and back bumper, and also the strips down the side with the !.4 and RT logo in em are all grey and old looking, what can i use to blacken or spray em? Rather spray em but blackening would do for now if thats easier. And just out of curiosity, whats the name to actually use for the things im talking about? lol. knowing that wouldve made writing this thread alot easier! Also wanna colour code anything else i can ie door handles etc

i used matt black spray paint from halfords and it looks brand new and not sprayed!

Would using my car colour spray be as easy as spraying with matt black? What preperation do i need to take in order to spray? Surely its not just a case of point and spray. What should i use to cover the body around the area im spraying? Or would it be better to remove parts first...

best off takin the strips off first!

i didnt prep mine coz they were in good condition so jus point and spray and it looks like new! as there snt ne shine then u cant see ne imperfections!

the problem wit sprayin em the same colour as the car usin the car colour match stuff is gettin it lookin perfect!

when taking em off how should i do it without causing damage? will they go back on easily too? and how can i take the bumper inserts out? i cant see how they can come off... think i might just go for blackening them itll still look alot better!

If you dont want to remove the bumpers, why dont you use masking tape and newspaper, cover quite a large area of the car which might otherwise get overspray, with the paper, plus cover the immediate area around the strips, and make sure that you get off any polish/back-to-black etc prior to spraying.

if your sprayin plastic make sure you use a plastic primer !!!

well i found them, in the glove box....it was a new unopened pack, but i replaced them anyway.

Its a whole lot better to remove the strips rather than masking around them!!

IMO.... he should strip the car down to a rolling shell.....do the job properly !
