how dangerous could this have been at speed?



  t3 corolla 116bhp
had a bit of a soft tyre and tried to put a bit of air in but heard this mad hiisng sound when i did. so i took it off to put on the spare and found this

I had a massive nail in mine no ttht long ago... it could of blown making you lost control = DEATH... not tht dangerious

i was thinking the same after i took it off. it looked alot fresher on the opposite side for whatever reason??

Its been left to soft for while cracking the side wall,could have been a blow out at speed

i had a front 17'' tyre blow out at 120mph in my astra lucky it was a low profile so gave bad sreering wheel shake.


tyre makers recomend that a tyre shouldnt be used after its 8 years old check the date stamp on your tyres.
