Having spoken with a Servicing Dept about a fault on my 182 I was advised to run the car till the fault results in a brakedown then they would be able to fix my car sooner.
Who do I complain to?? Contact details??

This is actually commonplace at most garages - if you have an intermittent fault it is very difficult to trace the fault if it only happens every so often. If you have a test drive in a car it usually lasts for 10 - 30 minutes and in 99 % of cases the problem rarely occures. Sometimes it will and it will in turn switch the engine warning light on the dash which will then in turn record the fault on the ECU. Once the "clip" diagnostic has been attached to the vehicles ECU it will then inform the technician the problem with the vehicle. We recommend that if the fault is intermittent carry on running the car ( unless its blatently obvious that it is severe ) until the problem becomes more obvious and easier to detect - after all if they test drive you car for 3 hrs, use 5 gallons of fuel and then charge you £150 and tell you they cant find a problem, you wouldnt be to happy - personally i would listen to Renaults advice and run the car.
Blocks mate, its a well known fault. Renault know all about their notorious temperature sensor issue. They are doing a good job of pretending they dont though.
Obviously you know best - what with me being a Renault trained technician and working at a Renault specialist
A temp sensor will not cause a car to break down - if Renault have told him to do this, he should do it - at the end of the day they will be responsible for the recovery and warranty procedures on the car, so hes nothing to worry about
