It is I think, but you need to kinda force the clock out then force the heated unit out as its held in very nicely. Helps if you can take out the bit running alongside the lower part of it IIRC.
Need to remove stereo and surround first, then the there might be a strip underneath panel depending on year and then just 2 screws at the bottom of it.
To avoid scratching it, push it inwards then guide it down at an angle.
