How do you keep your phone number?

When you end a contract, i'm about to leave orange after over 10 years, if they dont offer me a seriously good deal, but is there any way of keeping my phone number and taking it with me to another company?

What do i need to do?

You need to get your PAC from Orange.
When you sign a new contract with another company, give them that PAC and your number, and they'll port it across.

Yup.
They'll write you a letter with the PAC.. takes a few days. Heh.

I'm sure someone else on here the other day was on abotu leaving Orange and tried to get their PAC texted to them. I was with Orange a few years ago, and they SMS'd me the PAC within about 10 minutes - changed policy now!
