how do you use the headlight washers?

as above how do you use them my car is a 2002 172 ?

Hold your windscreen washer stalk and the headlight washers kick in after a few seconds

I think they're meant to spray the headlights every four squirts. I use the emphasis on the word 'meant' as I'm yet to find a Clio where they work.
