I've been a member of the XROC for many years having owned 5 mk3 XR3i's, 2 mk4 3i's a mk5b 3i and a turbo'd Sierra XR4i, oh and a mk3 XR3 carb model.
However, my son had a Clio as a first car and just bought a very nice DCi 80 and some of his mates also have or had Clios. I have just purchased one ( an iceberg 172) and am amazed at how good they are. Also like the compliments it gets too!
Not being one with a bottomless money pit, every car i have owned had been used 24/7. 365 days a year if need be.
But being a fan of cars, especially sporty every day cars and car shows too, i have come to recognise there are several different types of owners.
1. Those who, like me use their car as intended but like to do their best to keep it looking tidy. And like to go to shows on club stands.
2. Those who, like to use their cars in the summer and hibernate their pride n joy the rest of the year when temperatures are below 15 degrees.
3. Those who, like to use their cars but go to extremes to compulsively clean polish and replace every nut and bolt. Going to club shows and entering concours events.
4. Those who, like to clean their car and not use it and trailor it to shows and enter concours events.
I have see nothing wrong with any of the above, but was wondering which categery you are in?
