how easy is it to change ignition barrel

I assume wiggling didn't get the key out?

Take plastic surrounds away
Undo torx bit on the barrel casing
turn key inbetween 2 of the "notches" (can't remember which)

and pull

no mate wished it would of .

the key is stuck in the barrel cant turn it at all .

Then yer fooked

change the steering assembly

If your resigned to changing the barrel id try and drill above and below the key to try and free off the wafers

Worth noting that underneath the barrel are 2 'tabs'. When the key is turned to the correct release position, these tabs become able to be pushed in with an impliment such as a screw driver, thus enabling the barrel to be slid out.

That's the tabs to drill out if the key won't turn

Many thanks for the advice hit the top if the barrel with a hammer the key released into the position for the barrel to come ,think I'm very lucky ,just can't get the Muti plug out now is it a push and pull ?
