How far should the rear main seal go on my 182?

Hi, I've got my box out and the rear main seal is leaking. I ordered the correct replacement part and according to others on the forum, the seal can be pushed in too far. Would anyone know how far to push it in without having the bespoke Renault tool? A measurement and or/pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Crank seal

Hi guys, Just fitted a crank seal to a motor last night and think I may have pushed it to far in, will it still seal properly when it's level with the surface of the carrier?
