Before the "common as muck" thread gets too out of hand, in the same time as 3800 182s have been sold in the UK, about 82000 Mondeos and 75000 3 series were sold

Seen quite a few of them in Leeds too. Met 3 at one roundabout the other day.

Jeremy, Mondeos and 3 series are not the performance figure head of the brand like the 172/182 is for the Clio. If there had been 75000 M3s sold i could understand see where you were coming from. I see about the same amount of 172/182s as i see M3s and lets just say that M3s around Leeds are not exactly rare.

Where Im from I dont see many 172s, 172 cups or 182s, where I work (away from home) theres 2 182s, 1 mk1 172 and a 172 cup.

However where I work theres about 12 Cupras, a few cupra Rs too... so as far as Im concerned the 182 is more rare than a cupra / cupra r...

I see Cupra Rs as well, they are not exactly rare, never said they were, was just replying to the thread, i didnt see it mentioned anywhere that we were talking about Leons otherwise id have mention them as well.

One of the reasons Im getting a 182 is that there are nowhere near as many about as CTR bread vans or MCSs.

Dont see too many Leons - Cupras or Cupra Rs about near me either.

Of the 3 series, about 4000 were M3s

but you dont see many family cars round here, they are all hatches, hence my comment, obviously the numbers wont be the same, but i do see as many rs clios as any other car locally

I dont see that many at all really. You are only noticing them because you are looking for them, and the more their are the better dealers should get at fixing them (in theory).

Dont see many 182 or 172s round here, spot the occasionally one, loads and loads of types Rs and MCSs though.
