How Many Iceburg Clio Cups Left

I have this morning been fortunate enough to buy a 2004 Iceburg 172 Clio Cup. Registered on 01/03/2004 I think it is probably one of the very last registered.

There were only 90 made originally. Does anyone know how many are left??

I will be starting a thread soon with some pictures and details. Really nice original example.

It is a non a/c one. Current registration number is K90 CUP, but it came out of the factory KU04 HDX.

Spent the afternoon replacing the door pulls with non sticky ones, fitting new alarm sensor mounts, Snappy Steering wheel, powder coated battery cover, carbon fibre dash inserts and new rear numberplate light.

It is going to stay pretty much standard and mint. Cleaning and pictures tomorrow afternoon.

Looking forward to seeing some pictures.

My Sisters Partner had an Iceburg Cup and that had Climate Control. Which was really rare apparently.

Yes was advertised some time ago on here, but she decided not to sell. Left my number in case she changed her mind and lucky for me she did! I went and collected today. Has belonged to two forum members.

Really randomly she also used to own my track Cup for two years in 2011 before it was stripped and tracked. This has since been returned to standard for a more modified Cup track car. I really should start a couple of build threads!

Only pics I have of the current one. In the middle of all the bits being swapped over and upgraded. Unfortunately I have become slightly obsessed with these stupid little French cars!!!

Nice! I think mine was CV04 or similar, picked it up from Wales. The silver looks great with the turinis.

The Turinis have been fully refurbished and fitted with Michelin PS3 all round. I will get it cleaned tomorrow and take some decent pictures. I am so chuffed with it. Credit to the previous owner. They have really looked after it. Loads of work has been completed by Mick at Diamond Motors. Belts, suspension, Driveshafts, wheel bearings etc. Paintwork is pretty much immaculate.

Some pictures finally! Had a few bits to sort out Sunday. A poor earth making the rear lights do funny things and I have changed the gear gator and center console. Changed the rear numberplate light for a new one. Apart from changing a few bits inside, I have some new genuine mats to go in.

I have had various 172 and 182. This is probably the best one I've had. Just came up at the right time. Both cosmetically and mechanically it is in excellent condition. Even the sill jacking points are in one piece!

Perhaps it should of read 'were sold'

At a guess maybe the blue was a bit more special at the time, with the coloured dash bits etc and a more in your face / 'obvious choice' 15 years ago?

But non Cup Icebergs do absolutely nothing for me personally lol

Either colour in great condition is a win.

Should have made a white one too, but we know that.

Really nice that! Keep thinking about getting a blue cup to go with the V6

Shoulda woulda coulda lol

They did well with all the colours imo

Back on topic - @Mbeau time for a new coolant expansion tank and perhaps a silver themed engine bay?
New coolant tank is on my order list! In two minds about the engine bay being black, I quite like it and would be easy to return back to original. I will get a build thread started at the weekend.

I thought Cups had standard plastics?

All the ones I have owned had the horrible sticky ones. Not sure if some of the earlier ones had the standard ones or someone has changed them at some point.

Are these these just standard Clio items and non-RS specific? I personally hate mine on the 182 - they look cheap and can't be cleaned well enough.

Yes. They are from any of the basic model Clios and so much nicer than the horrible sticky ones in the sport models.
