How many miles does your 172 do to a tank?

Ok so im getting like 200 ish miles to a tank for £55, and like 80 miles for £20.

Is this reasonable? How does this fare with yours?

I just put 20 in my 182 it had literally nothing in it already done 80 miles still got another 40-50 miles left on it

and for £25 i get 194 miles ish

im on an economy drive my car is doing 41.3 mpg over last 350 miles got about 1/8 of a tank left normally though <300 that's with 95ron

I get 300+ from a tank so your mpg doesn't seem very good. Unless your mainly driving in heavy traffic it might be worth getting it checked out.

In my 182 same as my old 172 on average 280 to a full tank , thats a mix of motorway and town driving .

Hmm i guess i dont do many motorway trips mainly short trips to / from work in town... would this explain poor mpg?

Could be the reason. Try resetting your mpg on while your doing 70 on a motorway and if you don't get mid to high 30's you've got a problem.

I've had my 172 just over a month, and with standard work commute trundle (12miles, 40-60mph, no stop-start) and motorway cruise (80-85) I have got nothing better than 25mpg out of it (i.e ~270miles or less on a tank), once down to 23mpg. I've not driven it hard, and I'd been expecting 30+mpg from reading reviews/posts. Any advice? Thanks
