How much are 1.2s these days?

  Turbos.
I could do with runaround... and was planning to get a Smart... but i was wondering if should come back to the Clio fold and get a 1.2 16v again.

When did the facelifted one come out with the revised front bumper?

How much for one that is a few years old?

When is the major service due?

Cheers.

The mk2 ph2 (If thats what you mean)came out in 2001. There are some out there on a y plate but most are from 51 onwards.
I reckon you could pick up a decent one for around £2700. (51 plate)

Sorry i don't mean simply a Mk2 Ph2, although that is what i want!

They did a revised version of the Ph2 with more obvious foglights...?

They were 04 plates Rob.

The engine is also slightly revised and the interior dials a little different. Also come with CC'd back spoiler, silver handbrake button, interior handles and gear knob.

For a 54 plate 1.2 with say 25k on the clock you are looking at around 4500-4700.

Cambelts are same as 1*2s - 72k or 5yrs but the job is easier and costs less.

Ph3 began in 2004, so there are some early ones on 53 plates the rest are on 04 plates and onwards.

mine might be up for sale sometime soon if your interested, 24k miles, 3 door black 1,2 16v dynamique, full service history, some small bits of damage, nothing huge, decent tyres etc.

mines a 2004 04 model, so is the ph3, but has the ph2 engine.

Thanks guys...

What is the PH3 engine then, still 75bhp?

Not sure if i want to spend more than £3.5k really...

Ph3 engine has a revised intake but still 75bhp yeah.

Why not get say an 03 plate ph2 with 50k on the clock. Pick it up for 3400, sell on just before cambelt. This way you have less money in the car = less depreciation in absolute terms.

Theres a crossover period with the revised engines where they were using the old ones up btw, so some of the 53/04 plates will have the Ph2 engine.

I would just get a well looked after 51/02 plate 1.2 16v, there are plenty about with under 50k, you should be able to pick one up for £3k, mine still feels new and has 58k on the clock, engines nicely loosened up too.
