what would 160BHP be at the wheels though?
about 188.9bhp at the fly!

but I guess thats a typo and you meant fly......

in that case it would be about 134 at the wheels.

well Im going with the calculation;

(power at wheels +10) / 0.9

seems to be very accurate imo
well as long as u have a formula to calc trans loss/ambient temps and pressures then thats cool;)

I had 128bhp at the wheels from my old Valver - it had the breathing mods (nowt special - just an open filter), some head work, cams, a zorst (including de-cat) and a bit of work on the fuelling and chip (not sure what, but it had a Facet valve).

I guess 128bhp ATW is about 155+bhp?? Sounds about right for an engine with head and cams, but I was told it made 170bhp at the fly when I bought the car. To be fair though, thats what the guy who BenR bought his car off said, and my old Valver was a smidgen faster.

It seems that there are either "good" or "bad" French hot hatches - like the freaks that are AaronCs 16V or Craggys Saxo VTS.

Dont want to harp on about F7R power, but if I had the dosh Id go straight for a 2.0 bottom end. Not much point going for a rebuild of the 1764cc when you can get more torque at 2000rpm less. Im not saying thats everyones cup of tea, but you cant argue with the VFM.

i got mailto:169.1@fly">169.1@fly on the same rollers as deanRsi. bit high me thinks, although deans seems about right for his mods!

mines probably a bit high too mate. to be fair i was first on though. you lot went on after all those beasts of R5 turbos etc.

Its the at the wheels figure that matters (although there will be variation from place to place). Unless youve had the engine out and on a dynometer, it will always be a guesstimate for the at the fly figure. :)

Aye, all seemed to go to pot after the turbos went on, although torque figures were still out on everything, i was 2nd on and no way does me 1.4 produce 109ft/lb torque!!! BHP prob right tho, 89bhp sounds about rate, bhp for yours seemt about right Dean an all.
